3 Steps To Conquer Cravings

First:    You need to identify your cravings:

Sweet, Salt or Crunch?

Now, plan to have a
healthy alternative substitute.
For sweet:
   try sugar -free candies
   sugar free jello snacks
   Crystal Light drink mix
   a small piece of  fruit
   a couple of healthy whole grain cookies or crackers

For salt:
    popped popcorn
    low fat pretzels
    lo fat string cheese
    high protein jerky
    2 oz raw walnuts or almonds

Second:  Plan Ahead/Shop Healthy

Be prepared by having these snacks
ready-to-go in your fridge or on your shelf
already packed in snack bags so you can grab on the go.

Use those snack bags for portion control.
Third:   ALWAYS have alternatives handy

Are you on the road a great deal?  If you don't want to
fall for a fast food stop or high calorie coffee fix then
here is what you can keep handy, even in your car.

It is easy to have some 
    sugar free gum or sugarless candies
     rice cakes or nuts in snack bags on hand
     whole grain crackers
Keep these at your desk, in your car
or in your gym bag or wherever
you might find yourself faced with a craving.
Always drink plenty of water to stop
those cravings cold, too.
Taking it one day at a time.....Breathe!!
